It has been confirmed. Inevitable really. Going to be interesting to see how it pans out - not convinced it'll be any better for racing but it looks quite good to drive

Overrated tbh. Easy flat in the current cars. I think the new S going on to the old International Circuit will be more exciting

But yeah, it won't make any difference. It'll get more people through the gate but that's about it

Rose tinted specs?

Ja - replacing a fast right hander which is universally and unanimously loved with what is essentially a squiggly line and two consecutive hairpins does not float my boat and neither should it yours.

A squiggly line? All racing circuits are just a long squiggly line, you bellend

I'm going to wait until it has been finished before judging

Increased capacity, though, surely? More seats to fill, and we already know there's demand for it

Plus it'll be slightly less of a sh*thole than before. Even less of a sh*thole next year when they've finished the new pits

James, when was the last time you looked at Silverstone and thought 'wow, that looks like a sh*thole'?

Quite often

Let's face it, it's nowhere near Bahrain or Malaysia, is it?

Silverstone is a 'sh*thole' because the toilets are a bit gross etc.. A new arrowhead complex is going to make the track worse and do sod all to the toilets. The circuit is fine, bar Luffield, the infrastructure is the problem. Invest in that you cock-hounds. The Grand Prix should be at Donington anyway.

Do you want Silverstone to be like Bahrain or Malaysia?

Does it really matter what I think? It's Bernie they want to please so if he wants to make it like the Tilkerings, then so be it. I'd rather have a slightly modified Silverstone than no British GP at all

You don't get it do you fella? It can be a 'Tilke ring' just with a decent bloody track.

I want to see the track before I judge it. If it's sh*t, I'll agree with you. If it's good, you can fkoffthx

A reminder of the new layout

Just to say the new section demands a slightly more firm front damper to stop sink under braking.

Wait...does he have a picture of himself in front of him?

Who does he think he is, some kind of Geordie website editor and journalist or something?
